3 Weight Loss Diets Than Don t Work!

Over the years dietitians and nutritionists have been constantly attempting to formulate new and improved cutting edge diets that are guaranteed to work. Then, they slap a name on it, put it in a package or book, and charge you an arm and a leg for it. Has this happened to you? If so, please don t feel bad, because what that tells me is that you re at least making an attempt to get yourself in shape and improve your health. What it also tells me is that there are too many people out there trying to make a buck off innocent people. Now, obviously everyone has to make a living, but I do believe it’s a crime for these corporations to jack up the price of their weight loss products. Believe me when I tell you that you can achieve your weight loss goals with free and/or inexpensive information and products. So, I want to go over three diets that are being marketed like they’re miracles, but in reality will not do the job. They may help some people lose weight temporarily; however, if you’re looking to lose weight and keep it off, I would avoid these three diets.

1.Low fat diets. These diets make a lot of sense right? You don’t want to be fat, so you figure let’s just cut out all foods that have fat in them. Unfortunately, while this sounds great in theory, your body doesn’t like it. You see, our bodies actually need fat to perform certain vital functions properly, and without lipids (or fats) we could be putting our bodies in serious danger. Now, there is a big difference between good fats and bad fats. Without going into too much detail, I’ll tell you that the fat from a fast food hamburger is not good fat, and the fat from eating natural peanut butter is good fat.

2.Low carbohydrate diets. Now, these diets actually do work. However, the results are often (almost always) temporary. Why? Because it is absolute torture cutting carbs out of your diet! You won’t be able to take, and then eventually when you starting eating carbs again and you’ll blow up like a beach ball. I hate to put it that way, but it’s the truth, and I want you to know the truth.

3.Low calorie diets. Ok, this one is pretty common sense. Let’s think of our bodies as a car, and calories as fuel (thank goodness calories don’t cost as much as a gallon of gas!). Now, suppose that you tried to drive your car from Florida to California on one tank of gas. You would never make it, right? Well, the same goes for our bodies. If we try to go through our whole day on only small amounts of calories, we’ll keel over and pass out by the end of the day. Needless to say, this IS NOT GOOD! But, seriously, I don’t want you to suffer the consequences of a low calorie diet.

There are some great nutrition plans out there, and I would really love to help you find the right one. You can read more about me in the author’s bio.
