The One Hour Rule
Testosterone is a steroid hormone that is responsible for building muscle. The higher the level, the better the chances of building muscle; and if the level is low, rather than building, it breaks down the muscles. The trick here is that the weight training increases the level of testosterone in a man’s body, resulting in building muscle. However, you need to exercise somewhere between 45 50 minutes; as at around 45 minutes the testosterone level is at its peak. After an hour from the time you have started to exercise, the testosterone level starts to drop. If you exercise until the testosterone level is at its peak, or at least hasn’t started to fall down, you are building your muscle. However, in the temptation of building better muscle, if you exercise beyond an hour, the chances are that you are breaking down your muscles rather than building. It is advisable to have a short hour session of weight training for maximum benefits.
The size and strength phenomenon
Every guy wants to have bigger muscles. Bigger muscles mean better strength. While building muscles, men forget a little factor called strength that is involved. You could want really great muscles to impress your girlfriend, but might not have the strength that is required for that kind of work out. However, there could be exceptions where the strength factor is surpassed. This would result in building muscles as big as you want, but they would not have the strength that the buildup of muscles should have. This could result in oversized biceps, triceps, chest and shoulders.
Nutrition Factor
There has been a huge conflict between the importance of diet, training and lifting weights being a contributing factor for building muscles in men. The simple answer is that they are indispensable. The training methodology would ensure that the body is stimulated enough to produce the hormones required to build muscle. Proper nourishment from food will ensure that the body is functioning properly making the training methodology possible. In simple words, it’s important to have proper nourishment for your body to carry out the exercise schedules in the muscle building training.
Restrict alcohol intake
The most common mistake during a muscle building regime is drinking. If you’re drinking socially, it’s alright to an extent. However, getting drunk is a concern. When you get drunk the testosterone level goes crazy for the following 3 4 days. That means no matter how much you exercise you would not build muscle. If you want to build those muscles, you have to avoid drinking if not quitting it.
There is a lot of information available about muscle building for men, what ever source you pick the four golden rules discussed above are indispensable.
